Books, letters, and mentorship — at no cost
Sirat Project seeks to provide the proper tools for change for incarcerated Muslims. Our initiatives aim to promote awareness of the true teachings of Islam through the moral and ethics teachings of the Noble Prophet (ṣ) and his divine household (ʿa) in our program. One of our main initiatives is to send Islamic books at no cost on topics such as beliefs, ethics, morality, and history.
Our program helps inmates evolve into leaders, build good habits and achieve social reform, producing citizens who are able to actively help their communities, and promote awareness of the true teachings of Islam by teaching the morals and ethics of the Noble Prophet (ṣ) and his divine household (ʿa).
We have regular correspondence with inmates through letters and send them Islamic books and curriculum guides. We hear their reflections and stories and personally tailor the books we send to their needs and interests. We also send our quarterly magazine known as Ṣirāṭ Link, postcards on Islamic holidays, and an annual calendar with prayer times.

Free titles for the whole family
Sirat Project is proud to launch our new Family Program! Family members of current and former inmates can join to receive complimentary titles from our partner organization, Al-Kisa Foundation.
We are only serving youth (0–17) for now. InshāʾAllāh, we are working on expanding the program in the future. Adults can access our Ṣirāt Link magazine under the Free Resources tab. If you are interested in learning more about Islam, we recommend visiting Islamicbeliefs.com for beginning materials or Al-Islam.org for advanced ones.
InshāʾAllāh, the goal of this program is to help connect incarcerated Muslims with their families and to share books with those in need. We hope to support families’ education and their interest in Islam. If you would like to be part of this effort, you can sponsor an inmate! Sponsorship includes an inmate’s curriculum books, annual calendar, quarterly magazines, prayer items, and the books sent to their families.
